Job summary

Williams is offering a 10‑12 week engineering internship in Tulsa, OK, with opportunities across multiple locations. Interns gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real projects in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Current students pursuing STEM degrees will develop essential skills, contribute to major projects, and participate in cross‑functional teams. A housing stipend is provided, with relocation support for eligible moves.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering fields with graduation date December 2027 or beyond.
  • Not eligible for sponsorship, OPT or CPT.
  • Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate for the summer to Williams' internship locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops understanding of Williams core business and operating areas.
  • Gathers and analyzes real-time data to identify efficiencies and ensure proper asset maintenance.
  • Builds credibility with customers by contributing to major projects and capital expansions.
  • Collaborates with various teams across operating areas and fields to achieve enterprise goals.
  • Follows and supports Williams Values.
  • Work schedule is generally Monday-Friday 40 hours/week; hybrid schedule may be available.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Each summer, a select group of highly motivated college students joins our 10-to-12-week internship program. Through meaningful projects, mentorship from leaders, cross‑functional collaboration, and professional development opportunities, you'll build your skills while making an immediate impact. Along the way, you'll be encouraged to think creatively, act courageously, work collaboratively, and strive for excellence.

Our engineering internships will be in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Houston, Texas, Salt Lake City, Utah or at one of our field locations.

A $2,500 housing stipend will be provided; additional relocation will also be given for those moving more than 50 miles from their home and school address.

Basic Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, energy, mechanical or petroleum engineering, with a graduation date of December 2027 or beyond (financial engineering, computer science and AI engineering - please apply to the Business/IT application)
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship, OPT or CPT
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to relocate for the summer to our engineering internship locations

Pay

Pay is a nonnegotiable, hourly rate that is determined by graduation date: Master's Program = $47.60 Fall 2027 - Spring 2028 = $43.30 Summer 2028, Fall 2028, and Spring 2029 = $38.50 Summer 2029 and beyond = $33.70 We also offer accrued sick pay, medical and 401(k) benefits.
