Job summary

Creative Testing Solutions in San Marcos, CA, seeks a Testing Technologist to perform high‑complexity laboratory testing under supervision in a GMP environment, ensuring CLIA, FDA, EMA compliance and proper documentation. The role covers instrument calibration, data review, and adherence to quality controls.

You will operate and maintain complex testing equipment, review test results for accuracy, and contribute to daily workload while following safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Biology or Chemistry; CFR 493.1489.
• CLIA requirements for High Complexity Testing.
• California testing requirements where required by law or SOP.
• Appropriate state licensure and/or certificate, where applicable.
• Must possess High Complexity Testing competencies required by SOPs, CLIA, and other bodies.
• Testing Technologist II: at least 2 years of lab experience in high complexity testing; meets 42 CFR 493.1461.
• Testing Technologist III: at least 4 years of high complexity testing; meets 42 CFR 493.1449.

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity testing per SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Handle and process samples to ensure validity of results.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and instruments.
• Ensure ALCOA-compliant documentation and data integrity.
• Monitor quality control and resolve deviations; document actions.
• Maintain inventory and storage of reagents and supplies.
• Support junior staff and provide guidance as needed.
• Work as part of the Plasma Testing Laboratory team; meet production demands.
