Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in York, PA, is seeking a detail‑oriented lab technician to support testing of glass and building products. You will select units, transport to the lab, unwrap and re-wrap, prep specimens, and perform air infiltration and water penetration tests.

You will analyze test results, communicate with line supervisors, assist with product certification, and coordinate with shipping to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and use precision tools such as calipers and dial indicators.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Select units for testing
• Transport units to and from the lab
• Unwrap and re-wrap the units
• Specimen preparation
• Perform air infiltration and water penetration tests
• Analyze and determine causes for test failure
• Communicate with Line Supervisors
• Assist in product certification and buck building
• Coordinate with the shipping department to prevent delays in shipping to the customer
• Other duties as assigned
