Job summary

OBE is seeking a Laboratory Technician to select units for testing, transport units to the lab, unwrap and re-wrap them, prepare specimens, and perform air infiltration and water penetration tests to ensure product quality. You will analyze results, determine causes for test failure, communicate with Line Supervisors, assist in product certification, and coordinate with shipping to prevent delays.

• Ability to read and use precision tools (caliper and dial indicator)
• Strong mathematical skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Word

Responsibilities

• Select units for testing
• Transport units to and from the lab
• Unwrap and re-wrap the units
• Specimen preparation
• Perform air infiltration and water penetration tests
• Analyze and determine causes for test failure
• Communicate with Line Supervisors
• Assist in product certification and buck building
• Coordinate with the shipping department to prevent delays in shipping to the customer
• Other duties as assigned
