Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope (OBE) is seeking a detail-oriented technician to support testing and certification processes. You will select units for testing, transport and prep samples, and assist in product certification, working closely with lab staff and shipping to prevent delays.

Ideal candidates read precision measuring tools, have strong math and problem-solving skills, and are proficient with Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Word.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and use precision tools (caliper and dial indicator).
• Strong mathematical skills are required.
• Problem solving and analytical skills are essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Word.

Responsibilities

• Select units for testing
• Transport units to and from the lab
• Unwrap and re-wrap the units
• Specimen preparation
• Perform air infiltration and water penetration tests
• Analyze and determine causes for test failure
• Communicate with Line Supervisors
• Assist in product certification and buck building
• Coordinate with the shipping department to prevent delays in shipping to the customer
• Other duties as assigned
