Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Testing Services Specialist to support the Senior Manager in a multi-campus Testing Services Department. You will assist with daily operations, coordinate TSIA administration, and support district partnerships for on-site and off-site testing.

This role emphasizes collaboration with Admissions, Registrar, and Testing functions to ensure smooth student testing experiences and adherence to state requirements.

• Ability to interpret, understand and apply knowledge of technology platforms
• General knowledge of student success programs
• Experience with technology for student assessment and testing
• Knowledge of academic resources supporting student progress
• Understanding of contemporary issues in higher education
• Ability to work with diverse communities
• Knowledge of interactions between Student Success and Academic Affairs
• Ability to identify and address barriers to employment paying a living wage
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication between students, faculty, and external stakeholders.
• Follow up with applicants through enrollment processes.
• Support testing and assessment services including GED, placement, and state/national programs.
• Administer and monitor tests and ensure testing security.
• Use technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports.
• Explain regulations for Student Assessment as set by THECB/TEA and Dallas College.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and recommendations; keep detailed records.
• Represent and cover the Senior Manager in their absence.
• Conduct presentations and workshops on testing policies to faculty and community partners.
• Complete required Dallas College professional development hours.
