Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Validation Engineer to lead V&V across SIL and HIL environments for Blue Ring mission testbeds. You will ensure models align with ICDs and driving tests across multiple testbeds, improving reliability of flight-representative validation.

The role requires hands-on test execution, data analysis, and collaboration with systems, software, and hardware teams. A BS degree and 5+ years in validation are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in system-level validation, integration, or testing of complex hardware/software.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and/or Software-in-the-Loop (SIL).
• Hands-on test execution and data analysis experience.
• Understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and V&V processes.
• Ability to read ICDs, schematics, and test plans.
• Python or other scripting for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the validation and verification of SIL and HIL test environments.
• Validate simulation models against ICDs to ensure accurate system representation.
• Compare results from vehicle test campaigns across testbeds.
• Design and run test cases simulating mission scenarios.
• Automate test execution, data collection, and analysis.
• Collaborate with design teams to resolve discrepancies and improve flight systems.
• Document validation plans, procedures, and results for stakeholders.
