Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota company, is seeking a Test and Validation Engineer to join our R&D Product Testing Team in Assaria, KS. This on-site role involves developing test methods, performing lab tests, and delivering technical reports on prototype machines and components.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in data analysis, test equipment, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot/diagnose problems.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical control systems.
• Knowledge of modern test equipment, methods of test, data collection & data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and prioritize tasks.
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of new test and validation methods to rapidly optimize launches of new equipment.
• Attend and contribute to design review meetings.
• Perform lab tests, analyze data and prepare engineering reports on prototypes.
• Coordinate test setup and data collection with Shop Foreman and Technicians.
• Prepare and present technical reports used by engineers and management.
