Job summary

Kratos is seeking a Test Technician to perform final testing of shelters, including water-tightness, electrical function, and EMI. You will support mechanical, structural, and environmental testing, fabricate test fixtures, and resolve CAPA issues, while witnessing offsite tests when required.

You will record data in ATPs, set up test equipment, and participate in audits and customer/govt inspections, ensuring a safe, compliant work environment and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, trade school (Electrical), or equivalent.
• 1–3 years on-the-job experience in testing or mechanical assembly (or closely associated discipline).
• Ability to read complicated drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Ability to use and understand test procedures; use digital volt meters, gauges, signal sources, spectrum analyzers, high voltage power sources, and generators.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions verbally from test supervisor/engineers, from work orders, and ATP's.
• Work independently or under general direction with a positive attitude and good judgment.
• Complete tests as scheduled in a timely manner.
• Record data accurately in ATPs.
• Set up and operate all types of test equipment, tools and gauges required to perform test functions.
• Represent Kratos test team during audits, inspections, and as part of test acceptance with customer and government personnel.
• Ensure work areas are safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant through EHS policies and continuous improvement.
• Initiate and follow up on NCM/CAPA actions; witness offsite testing by subcontractors as required.
• May perform offsite testing domestically and internationally in rare instances.
• Other duties may be assigned.
