Job summary

The test technician at Kratos Defense and Security Solutions performs final testing of shelters focusing on water-tightness, electrical function, and EMI. They support mechanical, structural, and environmental testing, fabricate test fixtures, resolve test issues, CAPAs, and witness offsite testing as directed by the test supervisor.

They ensure safe, compliant work environments, initiate CAPAs, and may participate in off-site testing domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, trade school (Electrical), or equivalent.
• 1–3 years on-the-job experience in testing or mechanical assembly (or closely related discipline).
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Ability to use test procedures and operate voltmeters, spectrum analyzers and power sources.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from test supervisor/engineers and work orders.
• Set up and operate test equipment and gauges for tests.
• Record data accurately in ATP systems and test records.
• Complete tests as scheduled and maintain safe, clean work areas.
• Witness offsite testing by subcontractors when required.
• May perform off-site testing domestically or internationally.
