Job summary

RTX is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Quality Technician to operate test equipment and interpret engineering drawings at our McKinney, TX site. Duties include reading procedures, maintaining inventory, performing quality checks, and reporting abnormalities to ensure conformance with specifications.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or 2-year degree with manufacturing experience, and is a U.S. citizen as required by the program/contract.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• U.S. Citizenship is required to access the program/contract.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with hand tools, electrical tools, measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow test procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, BOMs, and other technical documentation.
• Operate test equipment, measurement instruments, hand tools, and electronic diagnostic tools.
• Maintain inventory of test materials, equipment, and components at assigned workstations.
• Perform quality checks, identify defects or test failures, document results, and report abnormalities.
• Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, rework, and repair of products per engineering specs.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting following quality standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Experience working within a Manufacturing environment.

• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to assemble equipment.

• Experience with any of the following:hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.

• Self-directed & action-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment to resolve most questions and problems.

• Relevant manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction/facilities experience

The salary range for this role is 41,400 USD - 72,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
