Job summary

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking an entry level Reliability, Maintainability & Testability Engineer in McKinney, TX. This onsite role supports RCCA investigations, maintenance strategy development, and BIT integration to improve yield and reliability.

You will collaborate with program, factory, hardware and software teams to address failure modes, model fault coverage, and help ensure fielded products meet stringent DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) by start date.
  • Experience conducting RCCA investigations or equivalent structured engineering problem solving.
  • Experience may be gained in work, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program and factory personnel to track anomaly metrics and drive yield improvement.

This is an onsite entry level role located in McKinney, TX

What You Will Do:

As a Reliability, Maintainability & Testability Engineer your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Collaborate with program and factory personnel to track anomaly metrics, identify failure trends, perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to drive measurable yield improvement and accelerate throughput
  • Collaborate with hardware and software design team to develop a modular, cost-effective maintenance strategy for fielded products.
  • Support development of Built-In test (BIT) by developing requirements, driving hardware design feature selection, modeling failure modes and associated fault coverage, supporting software integration, and demonstrating effective capability
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • 0+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
  • Experience conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action RCCA) investigations or equivalent structured engineering problem solving approach in professional or educational setting
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Preferred majors - Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
  • EW/Radar/EO-IR system experience
  • Experience with product testing and troubleshooting in the factory/depot or field environment
  • Experience working with and interpreting interfaces between hardware and software
  • Experience in working with software/firmware development and implementation

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
