Job summary

RTX is seeking an onsite technician to troubleshoot and retest electrical and mechanical assemblies at the McKinney, TX facility. The role involves setting up diverse test equipment, verifying assembly quality, and performing card preparation and precision hand-tool work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience, and familiarity with VM, CMES, and SAP or similar databases.

What You Will Do

• Troubleshoot and retest electrical and mechanical assemblies.
• Set up and operate a variety of test equipment.
• Check for work correctness, including testing the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• Perform circuit card preparation, installation, crimping, and torquing using hand instruments.
• Perform in accordance with written work and test instructions to prescribed standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation data bases and tools.
• Experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands on technical experience in the repair, installation, and inspection.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Demonstrated ability to adhere to detailed work instructions and quality standards.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.).
• Communicate effectively, motivation for continuous improvement, develop more than one job at a time, and have the flexibility to work across shifts.
• Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.
• Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
