Job summary

RTX is seeking a Test Technician in Chesapeake, VA, to perform functional and performance tests on electronic and mechanical systems. You will troubleshoot issues, document procedures, and work with engineers to improve test processes. The role is onsite with a 2nd shift; training on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks.

Required: HS Diploma/AA/AS with 4+ years in testing, experience with test equipment and software, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a testing environment.
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training).
Experience with testing equipment and software.
U.S. citizenship is required for access to information.

Responsibilities

Conduct functional and performance testing on electronic and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve test failures and anomalies.
Document test procedures and results accurately.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve test processes and methodologies.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
Generate reports on test status, issues, and actions.
This is a 2nd shift, onsite position; training on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks.
