Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. seeks a Field Service Technician to support equipment setup, testing, commissioning and repairs across energy-related systems.

You will load programs, test functionality, troubleshoot live electrical and mechanical setups, read schematics and P&IDs, and document work in the service management system while following safety policies. The role requires hands-on training of junior technicians, adherence to health, safety and environmental standards, and proactive diagnostics

Qualifications

• Electrical, mechanical and programming knowledge is required.
• Experience with engines and related components.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Willingness to learn and accelerate at new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality through various test procedures.

DescriptionPurpose of the RoleResponsible for new equipment setup, testing, commissioning and repair.Key Responsibilities and DutiesEnsure product quality through various test procedures. Includes point to point testing, hot testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.Load computer programs to equipment, test program functionality, and make changes.Advanced work, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and computer systems.Load test gensets and other equipment.Escalates unresolved issues to supervisor / and or OEM.Assists with preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislations.Completes other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.RequirementsRequired CompetenciesEducation: Relevant electrical, mechanical, and/or programmingExperience: Energy industry experience preferredSkills:Willingness to learn and accel at new opportunities.Use hand tools, power tools, and equipmentTroubleshooting and diagnostics of equipmentRead electrical schematics and P&IDsSafely work on live electrical systems, as well as configure new electrical set ups without oversight.Captures specific data using required service tools; follows procedures and documents required information in theservice management system in order to have an accurate record of the work done.Create documents and procedures for testing and training.Provide hands-on training for less experienced techs.
