Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Test Technician for an onsite 1st shift position in Simi Valley, CA. You will perform detailed electrical and electromechanical evaluations to verify parts meet quality standards and deliver precise diagnostic data to support engineering and production goals.

You will use oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers, troubleshoot circuits down to the micro-component level, document failure reports, and uphold safety and quality policies in a collaborative team

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational schooling or apprenticeship experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years in troubleshooting or testing environments.
  • Strong foundation in electrical systems and microelectronics.
  • Experience debugging and testing mechanical assemblies, instruments, and circuits.
  • Ability to read schematics and interpret technical instructions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with high precision.
  • Experience with Windows software.

Job description

Your Role as a Test Technician

In this onsite 1st Shift position (Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM), you will conduct detailed electrical and electromechanical evaluations to verify that parts align with quality standards. Your work directly supports engineering and production goals by delivering precise diagnostic data and identifying the root causes of failures.

Core Responsibilities
  • Execute standard mechanical and electromechanical evaluations on components by following established protocols.
  • Verify the correct operational sequence by examining schematic diagrams and shop traveler documentation.
  • Evaluate the functionality of circuitry and components within electronic devices and amplifiers.
  • Troubleshoot electronic units and circuits by utilizing technical prints and schematics.
  • Utilize specialized instrumentation, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers, to configure and execute tests according to requirements.
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting on digital and analog circuits down to the micro-component level to improve product reliability.
  • Document detailed failure reports and root cause findings to assist engineering and production teams in process improvements.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and verbal or written directives to ensure a secure workplace.
  • Uphold a tidy workspace and maintain reliable, consistent attendance to support team productivity.
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of High School or an equivalent credential.
  • Relevant experience gained through vocational schooling, an apprenticeship, or similar professional work.
  • A minimum of one to two years of experience in troubleshooting or testing environments.
  • Solid foundation in electrical systems and microelectronics.
  • Demonstrated skill in debugging and testing mechanical assemblies, instruments, and circuits.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and read complex schematic drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with a high level of precision.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Windows software.

  • Practical experience utilizing manual hand tools.
Compensation

The hourly pay rate for this position is $19.39 - $24.24.
