Job summary

A leading manufacturing company based in Maryland is looking for candidates to assemble and test instruments in a hands-on technical role. Ideal applicants should have an associate’s degree in Mechatronics or equivalent experience in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, or software issues. Job description

🕒 Shift: Multiple shifts available (pay may vary by shift)

What You’ll Do

• Assemble and test instruments on the production floor
• Perform functional and release testing on moderately complex equipment
• Review test data and determine pass/fail results
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, or software issues
• Improve system performance using test results (movement, lighting, accuracy)
• Read and follow drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
• Identify defects and suggest process improvements
• Train and support team members as needed
• Work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams
• Follow GMP, safety, and quality guidelines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Perform material handling for parts and sub-assemblies
• Be flexible to work overtime when required

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or a related field OR
• 5+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting
• Experience testing or troubleshooting equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and measure dimensions
• Familiarity with hand tools (torque drivers, gauges, etc.)
• Basic PC and Windows experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
