Job Summary

Conduct electrical testing and functional verification of standard as well as custom-built power conversion products/assemblies, including AC and DC Low Voltage Drives, Inverters for Battery Energy Storage & EV charging, Medium Voltage Drives, PLCs, and HMIs for industrial and renewable energy applications. Perform troubleshooting to the component level and conduct repairs to support production and RMA processes.

Job Description
  • Physically inspect and verify electrical assemblies.
  • Select and set up equipment, interconnection wiring, motors, and testing fixtures for testing power conversion products/assemblies.
  • Perform pre-power testing, adjustments, and verify ratings of components.
  • Download software/programs to power conversion products, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Conduct functional testing, simulate external devices, troubleshoot, and resolve malfunctions, including factory acceptance and witness testing.
  • Document test results, perform post-test analysis, and coordinate repairs.
  • Repair power conversion products/assemblies, analyze root causes, and implement corrections.
  • Create or modify test procedures and specifications.
  • Construct test fixtures as needed and implement methods to improve testing efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate them.
  • Adhere to safety policies and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Additional Job Details
Education/License Requirements:
  • Two-year associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology, Military Technical Training, or related field.
Experience Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience as an electronics technician in manufacturing (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with electronic test equipment such as DMMs, signal generators, oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, AC/DC drives, motor theory, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronics to the component level.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office programs.
