Amtec Staffing in Camarillo, CA is seeking a test technician to ensure quality of product components and sub-assemblies. Under supervision, you will perform basic test procedures, set up equipment, and document results with care.

You will read blueprints, learn new products, and work with team members to meet daily production schedules. Must have a HS diploma and solid communication skills; soldering is a plus.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and schematics.
• Soldering experience preferred but not required.
• Strong oral and written communication; upholding ethics.
• Basic calculations with a calculator for measurements.
• Basic electronics understanding to set up and operate test equipment.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Summary

Salary: $25-$28/hr

Position Duties

• Test assemblies per blueprint, ATPs and specifications daily.
• Perform in process inspections.
• Meet production schedule.
• Request material from stockroom as necessary.
• Learn new products and functions as required.
• Understand/perform all production processes without help.
• Assist in training of new personnel.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Promote team work and constructive work behaviors.
• Operates a variety of mechanical/electrical and small precision hand tools to test parts and sub-assemblies for final assembly.
• Performs equipment set-ups, both testing fixtures and equipment, along with filling out test data accurately and effectively.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read blueprints, specifications and schematics.
• Soldering experience preferred but not required.
• Must have good oral, written communications and have a high level of moral and ethical codes.
• Basic calculations, with a calculator to determine equivalent measurements, settings or outputs from equations.
• Basic electronics understanding to set-up and operator test equipment.
• Must be to read, write and speak English.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.
• Must occasionally lift up to 45 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
