Job summary

3Si is seeking a Test & Systems Engineer to evaluate hardware and software for compatibility with enterprise video management and security systems. You will develop repeatable test plans, run comprehensive tests, and provide technical recommendations for product lifecycle management.

Ideal candidates troubleshoot Tier 3 issues across applications, databases, and server-side components, with strong analytics, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or 5+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with Video Management Systems (VMS).
• Experience with Physical Security Information Management software.
• Experience with enterprise security or surveillance systems.
• Experience with scripting or test automation.
• Knowledge of video compression (H.264/H.265/MJPEG).
• Familiarity with ONVIF, RTSP, IP camera tech.
• Windows and Linux system administration.
• Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Git and version control experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop repeatable test plans and evaluation methodologies for hardware and software products.
• Perform functional, interoperability, and performance testing in a lab.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, servers, databases, and networks.
• Analyze test data, document findings, and identify defects and performance issues.
• Prepare technical evaluation reports and recommendations for EOL equipment.
