Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Test Engineer III in Louisville, CO. You will lead complex test plans and V&V activities for aerospace systems, guiding less experienced engineers and working across multidisciplinary teams to ensure system performance and compliance with requirements.

Preferred expertise includes LabVIEW, MATLAB, and TestStand, with a TS security clearance goal. This role emphasizes rigorous testing, documentation, and collaboration to advance mission-ready technologies.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Experience with requirements management, system design, and V&V.
• Ability to read/interpret schematics, use service manuals, and follow test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex test plans, procedures, and reports to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
• Apply expertise in test engineering areas (dynamics, thermal, measurement, HSI, software testing, integration).
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and guide less experienced engineers.
• Represent Test Engineering in requirements management, system design, and V&V activities.
• Generate and disposition test-related non-conformances and ensure QA adherence.
• Prepare technical data, reports, and analyses for decision-making.
