Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Faribault, MN is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift with a focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will guide production activities, optimize workflow, and ensure adherence to schedules while managing resources.

You will train staff, interpret blueprints, monitor equipment, and collaborate across departments to meet customer deadlines and maintain performance standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing
• Bachelor's Degree in related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules
• Assists in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with quality requirements
• Ensures safety and product quality while improving production procedures
• Coordinates workflow with various departments involved
• Reports damaged and defective equipment to management
• Trains other employees in day-to-day procedures
• Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output
• Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties
• Plans flow of materials through department according to work orders
• Interfaces with others to ensure customer deadlines are met
• Inspects and measures parts to verify conformance to specifications
• Directs workers in adjusting machines to repair products that fail to meet standards
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
• Develops and implements measures to improve production methods and equipment performance
• Suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving problems
• Maintains time and production records
• Assists with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology
• Other duties as assigned

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $108,000. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
