Job summary

Dice is seeking a Test Software Engineer to develop and debug LabVIEW and Python code for optical test systems. You will create LabVIEW software to control equipment on an optical bench interfacing with DUTs, NI cards, USB-connected PCBs, and related hardware.

The role emphasizes learning and updating existing code to sustain test systems, applying DFX techniques for manufacturing needs, and strong documentation and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, and C#.
• Experience in learning, managing, and updating existing code for sustaining test systems.
• Develop test systems for new products and augment systems to meet manufacturing needs using DFX techniques.
• Excellent technical writing abilities.
• Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent computer skills – CAD, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Confidence to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solutions to management.
• Ability to influence schedules.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug LabVIEW and Python based code.
• Develop LabVIEW software to utilize different testing equipment on optical bench interphasing DUTs.
• Interface with custom PCBAs through USB and NI cards.
• Coordinate with hardware and software teams to sustain and enhance test systems.
• Use DLLs, Python, and MATLAB to interface with LabVIEW as necessary.
