Job summary

The South Bend Clinic in Granger, IN is hiring a Medical Assistant (Full-Time) to support the Family Medicine team. The role involves triage, clinical procedures, and thorough documentation in Epic EMR within a 40-hour Monday–Friday schedule at 52500 Fir Road.

Qualified candidates are Certified Medical Assistants or Licensed Practical Nurses with strong computer skills, patient communication, and the ability to multi-task in a busy setting.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse required.
  • Proficient computer skills including EMR.

  • Experience with diverse patient base.

Responsibilities

  • Provides ongoing triage and management of office flow to meet patient’s medical and service needs in order to maintain optimal patient flow.
  • Performs the technical component of the department’s clinical procedures competently.
  • Documentation of all patient care is thorough, objective, concise, and follows appropriate legal guidelines.
  • Verifies patient insurance coverage for pre-certification, referrals and/or authorizations and documents in Epic.
  • Maintains accurate/current logs for equipment and supplies.
