Job summary

Elevate Semiconductor is seeking a full-time Test Operator in San Diego to support production and prototype testing. You will operate semiconductor test systems, ensuring accurate execution and timely delivery, working with Planning, Operations, and Engineering teams.

The role requires hand testing of chips, calibration of testers, and meticulous data entry. Onsite work Tuesday–Friday 10 PM–6 AM, with competitive hourly pay and potential for extra hours.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work onsite Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to handle small electronic components and devices.
• Comfortable using computers for basic tasks, including data entry, navigating test interfaces, and logging results.

Responsibilities

• Hand test chips manually to product specifications, from production trays, using hand vacuums to move product between trays and test heads.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance on testers, motherboards, and load boards; diagnosis and debugging as needed.
• Diagnose and debug manual tester/setup issues and document repairs.
• Manage and maintain sockets to ensure correct operation and record test outcomes in automation software.

As a full-time Test Operator, you will support our production and prototype testing efforts by operating semiconductor test systems, ensuring accurate and efficient test execution to meet customer delivery schedules. You will work closely with Planning, Operations, and Engineering teams to uphold product quality and on-time performance.

Schedule Requirement: This role is scheduled for Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and candidates must be able to commit to these hours. Must be able to interview onsite before November 13th.

Responsibilities

• Hand testing chips manually to product specifications, from production trays, using hand vacuums to move product between product trays and the test heads
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance on testers, motherboards, and load boards; requires diagnosis and debugging at times
• Diagnosing/Debugging Manual Tester/Setup issues and providing standard documentation for repair
• Managing and maintaining sockets for them to perform correctly
• Entering proper lot information when starting Nextest System user interface, accurately record test outcome data into automation software
• Complying with both corporate and ISO standards, drive for continuous improvement in test
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Availability to work onsite Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow written instructions, test procedures, and work instructions.
• Comfortable using computers for basic tasks, including data entry, navigating test interfaces, and logging results.
• Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to safely handle small electronic components and devices.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and maintain focus in a production environment.

This position pays $23.00 per hour with final compensation determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall interview performance.
