Job summary

ITest Inc is seeking a skilled Semiconductor Test Operator to join our team in San Jose, CA. Work with automated test equipment to test semiconductor devices in a cleanroom environment.

You will handle wafers and probes, monitor yields, document data, and collaborate with process and test engineers to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; electronics certification preferred.
• Experience with semiconductor testing and wafer probing is a plus.
• Familiar with ATE platforms, test handlers and probe stations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Able to work in a cleanroom and follow ESD safety standards.

About the Role:

ITest Inc is looking for a skilled Semiconductor Test Operator to join our growing team in San Jose, CA — the heart of Silicon Valley. Responsibilities:

• Operate automated test equipment (ATE) to perform functional and parametric testing of semiconductor devices


• Load and unload wafers, dies, or packaged ICs onto test handlers and probers


• Monitor test yields and report anomalies or out-of-spec results to engineering staff


• Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration checks, and basic troubleshooting


• Document test data, lot traveler information, and production records accurately


• Follow ESD protocols, cleanroom procedures, and all safety guidelines


• Collaborate with process and test engineers to support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in electronics preferred


• Prior experience in semiconductor testing, wafer probing, or back-end manufacturing a plus


• Familiarity with ATE platforms, test handlers, and probe stations


• Basic understanding of electrical components, circuits, and semiconductor devices


• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise written procedures


• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and adhere to ESD safety standards


• Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a production shift environment
