Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Test Lead to plan, deploy, and manage testing efforts across projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and quality standards. The role involves collaboration with clients and internal teams to understand specifications and address performance concerns.

You will develop and refine manual testing strategies, create work plans, and mentor QA engineers to enhance skills and team productivity.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and tools.
• Solid understanding of embedded C and C++ concepts.
• Familiarity with test case design and test management tools.
• Basic knowledge of SDLC and QA processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification is optional.
• Agile or Scrum certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage in functional and technical discussions with clients and teams to understand specifications and ensure test environments are maintained and up to date while preparing manual test cases and facilitating execution.
• Develop and continuously enhance manual testing strategies and processes as new system features are introduced, creating work plans and monitoring progress for on-time delivery.
• Create reusable and scalable test documentation, develop comprehensive test plans, maintain test data, and submit status reports to identify and mitigate risks.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers in applying the testing framework to increase team productivity.

Job description

The Test Lead plays a crucial role in planning, deploying, and managing the testing efforts for projects to ensure compliance with quality standards. This role involves direct collaboration with clients and internal teams to understand specifications and identify performance concerns, ultimately guaranteeing that testing processes align with both client expectations and organizational quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engage In Functional And Technical Discussions With Clients And Teams To Comprehend Functional And Design Specifications, Identify Performance Concerns, And Ensure That Appropriate Test Environments And Infrastructures Are Maintained And Up To Date While Preparing Manual Test Cases And Facilitating Execution.
2. Develop And Continuously Enhance Manual Testing Strategies And Processes As New System Features And Enhancements Are Introduced, While Creating Work Plans And Monitoring Progress To Ensure On-Time Delivery In Accordance With Established Quality Standards.
3. Create Reusable And Scalable Test Documentation, Develop Comprehensive Test Plans, Maintain Test Data, And Submit Status Reports To Identify And Mitigate Risks Throughout The Project Lifecycle.
4. Mentor And Guide Qa Engineers In The Application Of The Testing Framework, Enhancing Their Technical Skills And Increasing Overall Team Productivity.

Skill Requirements
