Overview

TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Test Leadprofessional who exhibits strong knowledge and experience in leading, building, and maintaining testers. The expectation is for the Test Lead to oversee the testing process of a software product and or application. They are responsible for managing a team of testers and ensuring that the testing activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. Expected to lead in supporting a highly innovative and fully integrated solutions supporting VA chosen COTS, GOTS and custom applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and verify requirements; capture detailed descriptions of system capability and functionality; ensure the project team has clear, consistent, and testable requirements documented in test plans, test procedures, and completion criteria.
• Review requirements and schedule meeting with Business Analysts for any clarifications needed.
• Prepare and manage various Test Documents, maintain Test Environments, reach out to appropriate team if any of the services or application is down.
• Develop and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Assign the work to the test team and make sure the verified work is deployed into Production as planned.
• Coordinate with the Test Team to align test completion within the deadline.
• Coordinate with Change Management on deployments and make sure test team is being notified on Builds.
• Support the Program Manager for various reports and work status including Daily Test Status Report, RTM, Defect Reports, and Test case report. Notify Manager when Test completion can’t be met within deadline and propose a plan to improvise.
• Run Triage calls to prioritize Defects/Issues and discuss failed defects.
• Collaborate with Software Development, Configuration, Requirements, and Management team members; adhere to schedules and milestones; and provide weekly status updates to management.
• Plan and support sprints and build releases for all environments.
• Cross train the Test team to make sure Testing will never be abrupted with any given reasons.
• Collect and maintain all release documents and ensure that compliance user stories have been completed and approved by assigned CM Manager.

Qualifications

• 5 years of IT Industry experience (Required).
• Experience in Agile methodology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand functional, technical architecture design documents and analyze test requirements.
• Experience testing with various testing tools.
• Exposure to multiple SDLC models like Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile models.
• Strong skills in SQL, Oracle, etc.
• Agility, Jira, etc… expertise (requirements tool of some sort).

Recommended Skills:

• Agile-based knowledge and skill.
• Understanding of lean agile / SAFe framework.
• Full Software development life cycle experience including decommissioning.
• Relational database software and Structure Query Language experience.
• Healthcare Claim EDI and X12 standards experience desired.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field of study

Required Clearance

• Ability to pass a modest background investigation

Pay Range

• This position ranges from $68,754 to $85,645.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
• Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
