Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a technically minded software support engineer to assist semiconductor deposition equipment users in New York. The role focuses on problem solving, log analysis, and hands-on configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of system software.

You will troubleshoot, analyze diagnostic data, and collaborate with software, controls, and field service teams to resolve issues and improve reliability. A technical degree and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of software systems, Windows-based environments, networking, and computer hardware.
  • Experience supporting troubleshooting complex electromechanical or industrial systems is preferred.
  • Experience with industrial control systems like EtherCAT is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret system logs, diagnostics, and error messages.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, or manufacturing systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonuses subject to company policies.
