Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Technical Manager/Architect to conceptualize design and deliver product delivery through the team in a regulated technology domain. The role emphasizes EMC testing, electrical safety, and junction box/jacket PCB development.

You will lead cross-functional engineering efforts, mentor junior developers, and coordinate with external labs to ensure IEC 60601-1 compliance and robust system integration. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• BE/ME in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• 15+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience.
• Ability to collaborate across Mechanical, Software, Systems, Quality and Regulatory teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEC 60601-1-2 EMC test protocols for pre-compliance and compliance testing.
• Develop and enhance in-house EMC test capabilities for EVR systems.
• Mentor EMC test script development and support software engineers in troubleshooting and bug fixing.
• Analyze EMC test failures, identify root causes, propose corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
• Coordinate with external test laboratories for EMC compliance testing and certification activities.
• Develop IEC 60601-1 electrical safety test protocols.
• Establish and maintain in-house electrical safety test capabilities.
• Perform electrical safety testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with external laboratories for IEC 60601-1 compliance testing and certification activities.

• Design and develop PCBs for junction box assemblies.
• Review cable drawings, wiring schematics, and pin assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Manager / Technical Architect:

EMI/EMC:

• Develop IEC 60601-1-2 EMC test protocols for pre-compliance and compliance testing.
• Develop and enhance in-house EMC test capabilities for EVR systems.

• Review cable drawings, wiring schematics, and pin assignments.

Junction Box:

• Design and develop PCBs for junction box assemblies.
• Support cable harness development and integration activities.
• Review cable drawings, connector interfaces, and pinout definitions.

Tools

Test Equipment

• EMC: Spectrum Analyzer, Antennas, Near-Field Probes, LISN, Current Clamp, etc.
• Electrical Safety: Safety Tester (Leakage Current, Hipot, Ground Bond)
• Electrical Debug: Oscilloscope, Differential Probe, Current Probe, multimeter etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits
