Job summary

The Test Lab Technician I at RAVE Aerospace GmbH in California operates in the System Test Lab (Rack Room) with limited supervision. You troubleshoot and repair in the test lab, create/update engineering drawings, and assemble test racks and fixtures.

You will load software onto racks, resolve wiring and configuration issues, maintain inventory, and support daily Rack Room operations. Requires a high school diploma and up to 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of experience in engineering lab tech or related roles.
• Ability to build cables and other electromechanical assemblies.
• Broad knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components.
• Knowledgeable in the use of lab instruments (multimeter, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of software operating systems, such as Windows and Linux is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, create, and update engineering drawings for cables and system layouts.
• Create wiring harnesses/assemblies from engineering drawings.
• Assemble and maintain new test racks and mini racks.
• Load software and configuration onto test racks and mini racks.
• Troubleshoot test rack and mini rack issues including physical connections, miswiring, software load issues and software configuration issues.
• Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of lab hardware and assets.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
