Job summary

RAVE Aerospace in Brea, CA is seeking a Test Lab Technician I to support the System Test Lab (Rack Room). Under limited supervision, you will troubleshoot and repair in the test lab and assist in creating and updating engineering drawings and test fixtures.

You will assemble racks, load software, troubleshoot issues, and help manage lab inventory. The role offers health benefits and opportunities to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–3 years in engineering lab tech or related role.
• Able to build cables and electromechanical assemblies.
• Knowledge of electronic/electromechanical components.
• Capable of using lab instruments (multimeter, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, create, and update engineering drawings for cables and system layouts.
• Create wiring harnesses/assemblies from drawings.
• Assemble and maintain test racks and mini racks.
• Load software and configuration onto test racks and mini racks.
• Troubleshoot test rack and mini rack issues including physical connections, miswiring, software load issues and software configuration issues.
• Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of lab hardware and assets.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
