Job summary

The Test Lab Technician I in the Rack Room at RAVE Aerospace LLC supports the System Test Lab with limited supervision. You will troubleshoot and repair in the test lab, create and update engineering drawings, assemble test fixtures, and help operate the Rack Room daily.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, building wiring harnesses, assembling test racks, loading software, diagnosing rack issues, and maintaining lab hardware inventory. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of experience in engineering lab tech or related professional experience.
• Capable of building cables and other electromechanical assemblies.
• Broad knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components.
• Knowledgeable in the use of lab instruments such as a multimeter.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, create, and update engineering drawings for cables and system layouts.
• Create wiring harnesses/assemblies from engineering drawings.
• Assemble and maintain new test racks and mini racks.
• Load software and configuration onto test racks and mini racks.
• Troubleshoot test rack and mini rack issues including physical connections and software loads.
• Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of lab hardware and assets.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
