Job description

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Summary:

The Test Lab Technician is responsible for assisting in the coordination of quality standards for components, materials, or services. This role involves applying measures, sampling methods, testing methodologies, and other procedures to ensure quality standards are met. The technician will analyze quality records, prepare reports, and recommend improvements. Additionally, they will conduct inspections, verification, and validation of components or materials used in development processes, identify and address recurring problems related to product quality or testing reliability, and ensure proper documentation of quality issues and performance measures.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct and document mechanical testing according to operating procedures and work instructions.
• Review test requests and reports from internal and external customers.
• Assist in designing, constructing, programming, integrating, and validating test systems.
• Maintain accurate record keeping in accordance with Stryker specifications.
• Utilize appropriate software and technological tools to maintain proper records.
• Understand and maintain testing systems; apply suitable testing procedures and techniques while building test fixtures and executing tests.
• Apply lab performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of Test Lab performance.
• Ensure the accountability and proper functioning of all equipment in the Test Lab; evaluate and purchase test equipment and software.
• Provide technical assistance to Test Lab Technicians as needed.

What You Need:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years’ experience or an associate degree or Technical Certificate in a related field
• Experience with metrology, pneumatics, and hydraulics

Preferred:

• Familiarity with user/installation manuals and product specifications
• Familiarity with logic and/or object-oriented programming
• Experience with measurement techniques using sensors such as pressure, strain, acceleration, load, current, voltage, and temperature
