Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly qualified test and evaluation engineer for defense systems in a secure environment. You will analyze requirements, develop evaluation plans, and drive Alpha test activities across lab and pre‑production settings.

This role requires hands‑on experience with infrastructure, software, and monitoring solutions, as well as the ability to generate formal T&E documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• Must hold Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start.
• DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+)
• Experience levels align with high‑security roles (HS/AA/BS/MS/PhD options).
• Hands-on experience designing, integrating, validating, and implementing infrastructure, software, test, and monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with IC ITE services and classified environments.
• ITIL 4 Foundation Certification (or higher).

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements, concepts of operations, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans.
• Develop and compare Alpha test activities and explain variations beyond +/-5% of expected results.
• Deliver Alpha Test Plans and results per guidance.
• Prepare and execute automated and manual tests and collect results in lab and pre‑production settings.
• Analyze test results and report progress and status.
• Support government test and evaluation docs, including T&E Strategy and Master Plan, Event Test Plans, and Test Readiness Assessments.
• Collaborate with other test organizations to support T&E program integration.
• Provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance areas.
• Provide engineering services in support of operations transition and CIS program objectives.
