Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Test Engineering Manager 2 to lead a 15–20 person team of test engineers and technicians across space programs. You will balance functional management with program‑level support to deliver test engineering products on cost and schedule.

The role requires 8+ years in engineering in space hardware, DoD clearance eligibility, and proven leadership. You will coordinate staffing, set performance goals, and drive continuous improvements while supporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years engineering experience or Master's with 6+ years.
Experience testing space hardware in aerospace/defense.
Proven leadership of engineering teams to deliver within cost and schedule.
Knowledge of workforce/resource planning and forecasting staffing needs.
Must be able and willing to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Direct test engineers and technicians for concurrent space programs.
Ensure test execution meets cost and schedule goals.
Provide technical oversight of test deliverables and procedures.
Guarantee product/test readiness to meet program standards.
Serve as liaison between test engineering and other groups to resolve issues.
Define staffing strategies and conduct performance reviews; support salary reviews.
