Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join the MEP organization in Oxnard, CA. The role is 100% onsite and involves design, development, and implementation of testing methods and equipment for space-related systems.

Responsibilities include test planning, data analysis, integration with test tooling, and technical writing. Travel to Oxnard/Goleta and customer support is required, with annual salary ranges disclosed by level and eligible bonuses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of test engineering experience or Master's with 0 years.
Experience troubleshooting test equipment, tooling, and harnesses.
Experience with test automation or lean manufacturing/testing methodologies.
Demonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skills.
Ability to travel between Oxnard, CA and Goleta, CA and support customers ~10%.
U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

Perform product testing with cross-functional teams, including planning, setup, data reduction, and reporting.
Integrate products with test tooling, software, equipment, and instrumentation.
Support data collection, review, and verification of test requirements.
Assist in writing clear test documentation and participate in reviews.
Leverage modern tools to reduce testing cost and schedule.
