Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join our Mission Enabling Products organization. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

As a hardware test engineer, you will design, develop, and implement testing methods, coordinate labor and equipment, analyze data, and generate test documentation. Travel up to 10% to support customers and other site locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM plus 2+ years test engineering experience, or Master's with 0 years.
• Experience troubleshooting test equipment, tooling, and harnesses.
• Experience with test automation or lean manufacturing/testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skills.
• Ability to travel between Oxnard and Goleta sites, about 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform product testing with test planning, setup, execution, data reduction, and reporting.
• Integrate products with test tooling, software, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Support data collection, post-test review, and verification of requirements.
• Contribute to clear test documentation and participate in reviews.
• Leverage modern tools to reduce cost and schedule of testing.
