Job summary

Hermeus is offering a Test Engineering Intern role to help develop, build, analyze and operate test assets for supersonic vehicles. You will engage with hydraulic, fuel, high-voltage, and airframe subsystems while contributing to rapid prototyping.

The role runs in spring and summer sessions (16 weeks and 12 weeks). You will design fixtures, assist test plans, collect data, and document results, collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing STEM degree at an accredited university (undergrad year 3/4 or grad).
• Experience designing/building/testing vehicles via internships, studies or projects.
• Strong interest in testing and engineering first principles.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
• GPA 3.0+.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, manufacturing, implementation, and maintenance of test assets and hardware.
• Design test fixtures, tooling, adapters, interfaces, panels, and other hardware.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and protocols for subsystems and components.
• Perform engineering analysis for target test points and safety margins.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align test requirements and execution.
• Create CAD models and manufacturing plans for test components and fixtures.
• Assist with operation and troubleshooting of test systems and hardware.
• Document test configurations, results, and changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and methods.
