Job summary

RENK America is seeking a Test Engineer Intern to assist test engineers in developing and executing test plans for engine and transmission testing. You will help improve testing processes, identify instrumentation needs, and contribute to data post-processing for final reports.

The role fosters collaboration with the electronics and test teams and involves supporting hardware, software, and facilities integration, with opportunities to participate in capital project recommendations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering.
• GPA 3.0 minimum and strong academic performance.

Responsibilities

• Derive or verify customer test specifications.
• Maintain and use software for test data acquisition, reduction, plotting, and tracking.
• Assist in planning and executing tests on Diesel Engines, Cross drive transmissions, and powertrain equipment.
• Prepare test documentation and customer presentations.
• Design and specify control systems for test cells, fixtures, and equipment.
• Collaborate with test technicians on operation and maintenance.
• Coordinate with internal test customers.
