Qualifications

• 5 years of IT industry experience required.
• Experience in Agile methodology.
• Experience in test automation including development and execution of automated test scripts.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as IBM Rational Suite (ClearQuest, Requirements Pro, Functional Test).
• Experience in all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, and regression testing.
• Experience testing all layers of the application (web UI, service layer, data, performance).
• Strong coordination, communication and reporting skills.
• Experience testing Java, .Net, Web, SOA, ETL based applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional testing scenarios and detailed test cases.
• Manage deadlines and schedule in a fast-paced federal environment.
• Review and generate complex test plans, data, and scripts from specifications.
• Execute test cases, coordinate tests, log defects, and document results.
• Interact with Federal/contractor leads to clarify requirements and test results.
• Assist test lead/manager on testing approaches, tools, automation, and documentation.
• Support User Acceptance Testing with Federal and contractor resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional testing scenarios as well as detailed functional test cases.


• Manage project deadlines, as well as your time and schedule in a fast‑paced federal environment.


• Review and generate complex test plans, generate test case data, build procedures and testing scripts based upon functional specifications.


• Execute test cases, coordinate and execute tests, log and validate defects, debug and document.


• Maintain DSTRs.


• Must be able to work well within a team environment and have exceptional collaboration skills with all levels of business and technical staff.


• Serve as a functional testing subject matter expert to assist other test engineers as needed.


• Participate in regular project status meetings, track and communicate testing progress, issues and risks.


• Define Level of effort for building test cases.


• Assist test lead/manager to define and refine functional testing approaches, tools, automation and documentation.


• Utilize software testing tools and develop software test automation.


• Interact with Federal and contractor functional leads to clarify requirements and scenarios.


• Assist the Federal and contractor resources to conduct User Acceptance Testing.


• Respond to developers' questions regarding test results, bugs and defects.


• Communicate frequently with customers and team members, facilitating discussions an exercising professional judgment as require.

Qualifications

• 5 years of IT Industry experience (Required).


• Should have experience in Agile methodology.


• Experience in test automation including the development and execution of automated test scripts.


• Experience with defect tracking/requirements management tool, desired technologies include: IBM Rational Suite, (ClearQuest, Requirements Pro, Functional Test).


• Experience in all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, and regression testing.


• Experience testing all layers of the application, including web‑based user interface, service layer, data migration, integration layer, data layer, and performance testing.


• Ability to read and understand Functional, Technical architecture design documents and analyze test requirements.


• Should have strong co‑ordination, communication & reporting, analytical skills.


• Experience in testing Java, .Net, Web, SOA, ETL based applications.


• Having some level Java development experience.


• Prepare test data for various test cases/scenarios.


• Exposure to multiple SDLC models like Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile models.


• Strong skills in SQL, Oracle, MS-Access.


• Intermediate understanding and experience with Unix and Windows.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in related field of study.

Clearance

• The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation.

• Remote, USA.

Pay Range

• This position ranges from $77,745 to $92,455.


• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
