Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team in Franklin, MA. You will develop and validate test plans for hardware and solutions, partnering with a test team to ensure quality and reliability across products.

You will execute test procedures, report findings to development engineers and leadership, and work with external validators to extend coverage. The role requires strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical document literacy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in electronics, computer science, or related field.
• Understanding of server hardware and software architecture and interactions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document test plans for hardware and solutions products.
• Collaborate with test team during execution and report results to engineers and leadership.
• Work with external validation partners to build comprehensive test plans and coverage.
• Provide test engineering support for manufacturing test processes, including weekends as needed.
• Collect test requirements and create basic test plans and test cases.
• Follow risk management plans and execute test automation scripts.
• Document test execution progress and issues.
• Mentor test technicians and share best practices.
