Job summary

SimVentions, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a Test Engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Dahlgren, VA. This full-time, on-site role designs and maintains automated test scripts, develops test plans, and executes manual and automated testing across multiple levels, collaborating with developers and government customers to resolve defects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software/testing experience, proficiency in Linux, heavy emphasis on requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Strong requirements traceability to test cases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write test plans, descriptions, and cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing across static, dynamic, integration, and system levels.
• Perform DOORS-based traceability and document artifacts.
• Identify and track defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and participate in Agile ceremonies.
