Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support the Leidos Production Facility in Vista, CA. You will develop, implement, and maintain testing processes, hardware, and software in manufacturing to ensure product quality and reliability.

Key duties include designing automated test programs, fixtures, troubleshooting production issues, improving yield, and collaborating with R&D to introduce new products for testability in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with at least 1 year in testing & integration.
• Experience with test plan development and technical writing.
• Working knowledge of embedded systems.
• Strong communication skills to engage with multidiscipline teams.
• Excellent debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement test strategies and programs for Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and hardware; debug PCAs to component levels.
• Provide daily production support; troubleshoot assembly and component failures; create guides for production.
• Analyze data from automated testing to identify trends, improve yield, and increase productivity.
• Collaborate with R&D to introduce new products into manufacturing with Design for Test (DfT).
• Document test procedures, specifications, and process changes to maintain quality standards.
