Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is expanding operations at White Sands Missile Range in southern New Mexico. We are seeking a dedicated Test Engineer to join our Air & Missile Defense team to help shape the future of defense technology.

You will lead test activities, operate and troubleshoot ground support equipment, interpret manuals and schematics, assemble systems, maintain certifications, and uphold safety and configuration management while supporting CONUS/OCONUS travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated competency in leading test conduct in an ordnance environment
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated skills and aptitude in assembly and test procedure execution
• Willingness to travel
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a PC and applications – Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Ability to achieve and maintain certification in technical skills as required by the role
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Lead test operations as Test Conductor across multidisciplinary teams
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and GSE
• Interpret and execute operations per manuals, blueprints and electrical schematics
• Assemble, build, and test mechanical and electrical systems and test hardware
• Obtain and maintain required certifications per product specifications
• Adhere to project configuration control standards across all test hardware and documentation
• Enforce safety procedures and proper handling of hazardous materials
• Support occasional short-term travel across CONUS or internationally as required by mission objectives
