Job Overview

Position: Test Engineer (Full‑time, 3‑Month CTH, no fees) – Confidential. Location: Cambridge, MA. Base pay: $50.00/hr - $52.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute functional test plans.
• Develop and maintain functional test suites and documentation.
• Identify and document software issues, troubleshooting defects.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure software quality.
• Investigate software defects and resolve failure modes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Informatics, Clinical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience with HL7/FHIR medical device interfacing.
• Detail‑oriented ability to assess complex software applications and develop comprehensive test scripts or protocols.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience with embedded medical device testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience investigating software defects using troubleshooting skills.
• Self‑starter, quick to learn new applications and technologies.
• Experience with TCP/IP, WLAN, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Good understanding of the V‑model (Requirements analysis, functional analysis, functional vs non‑functional requirements, component analysis).
• Experience with web application testing.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations.
• Experience in API and micro‑services testing.

Optional Skills

• Proficient testing of highly critical real‑time, large‑scale distributed client‑server applications (preferably in healthcare) via automation.
• Proficient in server/client‑based applications and environment setup in Windows for testing.
• Proficient testing TCP/IP, WLAN, DNS, DHCP communication protocols.
• Experience testing Software as a Medical Device.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience with embedded medical device testing.
