Job summary

Digital Infuzion, Inc. is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join the Software Engineering Services team in Rockville, MD. You will ensure delivery of high-quality products by applying testing principles, collaborating with developers, and solving problems creatively.

The role emphasizes CSV-adherent test scripting, Agile ceremonies, and production verification. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in web app testing, strong analytical skills, and experience with Azure DevOps and SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in web application testing.
• Experience developing test scripts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries.
• Experience using ALM/DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Word, Excel).
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze functional and non-functional requirements and create test cases
• Develop test scripts that adhere to CSV SOPs
• Execute test cases to ensure software meets requirements
• Record defects and provide status updates to stakeholders
• Provide level-of-effort estimates for testing activities
• Develop CSV artifacts and delivery protocols as needed
• Maintain requirements traceability across work products
• Collaborate with developers to interpret test results
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements and design
• Identify testable requirements and prepare test strategy for testing types
• Perform production verification after installation and updates
• Support customer operations by testing and reproducing issues
• Other related professional duties as needed

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be part of the Software Engineering Services team responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products through software testing principles, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze functional and non-functional requirements and create test cases
• Develop test scripts that adhere to computer system validation (CSV) SOPs
• Execute test cases to ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements
• Conduct test case reviews and provide support to the testing team
• Record defects in an application life cycle management tool and provide status updates to stakeholders
• Provide level-of-effort estimates for testing activities
• Develop Operational and Performance Qualification protocols, and assist with preparation of CSV deliverables as needed
• Maintain requirements traceability
• Collaborate with developers to ensure test results are understood
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and anticipated issues
• Identify testable requirements and prepare the test strategy for each of the testing types identified
• Perform production verification after software installation and updates
• Support customer operations by testing and reproducing customer-reported issues
• Other similar professional duties may be assigned as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a suitable combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in web application testing
• Experience in developing test scripts
• Basic knowledge in SQL queries
• Experience using tools such as Microsoft Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Word, and Excel
• Experience working in an Agile developmentenvironment
• Must be a self-starter/self-directed member of the team
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright
• Experience in developing CSV artifacts
• Experience in Section 508 testing
• Experience working with NIH
• Experience supporting clinical research projects
