BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Test Engineer for our Software Test Engineering department. The mission of the test organization is to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions integrated across all levels of production test. The role involves experience with the entire lifecycle of a program, including bid and proposal, advanced development, test design, product fielding, procurement, and sustainment.

Are you an experienced Electrical, Software, or Test Design Engineer with over 8 years of experience seeking the next career step? Do you want to design and develop mission-critical test solutions and software? Join us in protecting those who protect us by working on Next Generation Electronic Warfare Systems Products and Solutions. We are hiring for multiple positions in Southern New Hampshire, including Nashua, Hudson, Merrimack, and Manchester.

The successful candidate will be part of a test engineering team throughout the product lifecycle, motivating and inspiring across geographical boundaries. You will collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Operations, Production, and Test Engineers to influence all phases of product development and sustainment. We promote a collaborative culture and provide the tools, skills, and training needed for success. Our work environment is flexible, including a 9/80 schedule, and our company is committed to community and national security.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal oversight, and able to serve as a technical lead. They should be comfortable providing technical status updates and interfacing with various engineering disciplines. A background in Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with experience in designing, debugging, and deploying complex automated test systems for military communications, navigation, and electronic warfare equipment is required.

This role involves a hybrid work format, combining onsite and remote work.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience in designing, analyzing, coding, and modifying test software for analog, digital, RF, and hybrid modules at various levels using commercial and custom test measurement equipment.
  • Experience with National Instruments (NI) TestStand and CVI environments.
  • Experience developing and integrating digital and RF tests.
  • Ability to evaluate and debug test solutions to identify product design flaws.
  • Experience developing instrument drivers, utilities, test executives, and software supporting testing activities.
  • Experience creating documentation for test requirements, design, plans, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with test instrumentation such as Network and Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and RF measurements.
  • Understanding of RF testing concepts like VSWR, Gain, Compression, and Phase Noise.
  • Experience in hardware debugging related to test adapters, cables, and interface modules.
  • Motivated, independent, with good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with factory production test stands and problem resolution.
  • Development of RF test measurements for production environments.
  • Familiarity with boundary scan tools and software.
  • Knowledge of FPGA programming and debugging.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $77,809 - $132,275

Please note: Salaries are based on market pay structures and influenced by factors such as skills, education, experience, and internal considerations.
