Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to extend a market-leading desktop drawing software into a comprehensive platform for Chemists and Biologists on the Signals Online Platform.

• Owning the architecture and design of the ChemDraw desktop suite and online collaboration tools.
• Extending desktop functionalities into the Signals online environment.
• Technical ownership of the development stack, from C/C++/C#/Python desktop environments to web technologies like HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.

Basic Qualifications

• A degree in Computing, Algorithms, or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience in Computing or Life Science industries.
• Experience with web development technologies, especially HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS.
• Experience in architecture and design of computer systems.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Proficiency in C, C++, and IDEs such as VS Code, Visual Studio, or XCode.
• Experience with higher-level languages and frameworks like Python, C#, Java, Node.js, and UI frameworks.
• Knowledge of software development on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
• UI/UX experience and collaboration with UX teams.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, testing approaches.
• Experience designing and delivering software products.
• Familiarity with Cheminformatics and Bioinformatics principles.
• Leadership experience with software teams.
