Job summary

Fiberlight is seeking an experienced Circuit Designer I in Allen, TX to design, document, and provision high-speed fiber circuits powering customer services. You will join a cross-functional team across engineering, operations, and delivery to translate service requirements into practical network designs securing successful installations.

You will review orders, create BOMs, diagrams, and ensure data accuracy across systems while collaborating with project managers and technicians to mitigate

Qualifications

• 3+ years of circuit design or related network engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of fiber optic networks, Ethernet services, and IP addressing.
• Experience creating and interpreting network diagrams, route maps, and BOMs.
• Familiarity with vendors such as Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, Nokia, or similar.
• Experience with inventory/mapping platforms like 3-GIS, NetBrain, or SolarWinds.

Responsibilities

• Review orders and translate requirements into network designs.
• Analyze maps, records, and inventories to determine routing.
• Assign and provision ports, optics, VLANs, IPs, and paths.
• Create circuit records and BOMs to support deployment.
• Develop diagrams and documentation for deployments.
• Ensure data accuracy across records and systems.
• Identify capacity constraints and risks before deployment.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
• Troubleshoot design discrepancies and update plans.
• Maintain compliance with engineering standards and processes.
